Remote Management
Firmware 2.7 and later
This page describes firmware 2.7. With firmware 2.6, ZeroTier is configured on the command line.
The miro Edge supports two ways of remote management. Both are installed but off until you enable them in the web interface under Services->Remote Access. Enable only what you use.
| Agent | Use | Connection |
|---|---|---|
| qbee | Device management of many gateways: monitoring, configuration, firmware updates, remote access | Mutual TLS to the qbee platform |
| ZeroTier | Virtual network between the gateway and your computers | ZeroTier, end-to-end encrypted |
For remote management of many gateways we recommend qbee.
qbee
You need an account on qbee.io and the bootstrap key of your qbee account.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Status | Connection state of the qbee agent |
| Enable | Start the qbee agent |
| Bootstrap key | Bootstrap key of your qbee account |
| Device name | Name of the gateway in qbee |
After Save & Apply the gateway registers with qbee and appears in your qbee account. The registration is kept across firmware updates.
ZeroTier
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable | Start ZeroTier |
| Network ID | ID of the ZeroTier network the gateway joins |
After Save & Apply, authorize the gateway in your ZeroTier network.
Warning
Every member of the ZeroTier network can reach the web interface and SSH of the gateway. Authorize only devices you trust in this network.
